Welcome back Mommy! Welcome to the world Baby Sarah!

Dear all, yes, I am back and 10 kg lighter...haha. [definitely more weight to lose...but exercise plans have to hold till my wound is healed. And Baby Sarah weighs a healthy 3.775 kg. Praise God that all went well and thank you to all who sustained me in prayer - my family especially.
It was a long day....It started on 25th April. And at 8:24, I was all wired up with epidural, the fetal heartbeat and contraction monitoring machine.
Check out the modern birthing room, tv included.

Well, it was surely a long wait - note the clock

It looked like I had a peaceful time...for a large part of it. Come evening, I was told that I may have to do a caesarean as I was not dilating enough. My heart dropped when I heard that. I thought the Lord's answer to my prayer was for me to go through a natural labour. I was glad my husband was with me all the while. In these circumstances, it is easy to lose your focus on God. We spent some time in silent prayer and prayed together and felt at peace to leave the outcome, whatever it may be to the Lord. A couple of hours later, my gynae came and found that I was well dilated and decided to delay the caesarean. But come 9:00 pm, I was told to push and everytime I did that, baby's heartbeat dipped dangerously low [note the heartbeat on the left]. By then, I was all up and ready to go for a caesarean. As I was wheeled in, again my family was sustaining me and baby in prayer.
Finally, after a long wait, Baby Sarah enters the world with the loudest cry and she opened her eyes! You can't see it in this picture cos her chubby cheeks are in the way.
