Hard Thoughts

It's particularly hard and poignant when a dear friend of yours leaves this earth unexpectedly. She was my age and our birthdays are only a week apart. I remember the times when we enjoyed lobster bisque and oysters at Vines, that teacher's day at USSS when we dressed up in students' uniforms and created 'Lucy and the Gang' much to the delight and uproar of the students, the quiet times we spent talking about difficulties in the work place, the time she dressed me up in an Indian sari during Racial Harmony day, how lovely she looked as a happy bride, the time when she heard she was going to be a mommy, the time she sang me a birthday song by Hi-5...so many memories as well as ...regrets. While we have been reminded to live our life as if every day were the last day, we have somehow forgotten to live our life as if it were our friend's last. Things would have been much different if we knew, I'm sure. Well, things would have been much different if I had known. *ouch*

Epitaph

M.B 1976-2006
"A carefree spirit
A fun loving soul
A sensitive heart
A childlike cadence
A trusting spirit
A hurting heart
A dear dear friend
An unbeliever
A lost soul"
.sorely and painfully missed. *ouch*
