*Yawn* Where are we going?
Sarah and her grandparents. It is a blessing to have wonderful parents and in-laws and an even greater blessing when they can get along with each other.
Haha...budget terminal. Must walk to plane ourselves.
Sarah is happy on the plane...at least for a while.
Sarah and her grandmas. Arrived at 9:20 pm in Perth.
Second Day - Tuesday
The resort we stayed in - Broadwater.
Bright early the next morning, we were off to Perth City to eat our lunch and to rent our cars for the trip.
Daddy, Mommy and Sarah. [Never leave home without your baby bjorn and grandparents]
A blessed country - wild lavender by the roadside. Fancy that! But then again, we saw beautiful birds, posies growing naturally. Such were only available under captivity in Singapore.
Lunch at L Padrino. Yummy pizza and pasta at half price.
We dropped in at Kakula to check out coffee beans and nuts.Daddy and Sarah, again.
Our resort was only a bridge away from the beautiful Swan River. So Ah Gong, Ah Ma, Sarah and Mommy went out for a morning stroll. Daddy didn't even know we were gone cos he was zzzzzzzzz......
Check out Sarah's goofy look. The sweater given by Uncle David and Auntie Chiao Chyi sure came in handy.
But the morning proved too cold for Sarah.Playtime with Gong Gong and Sarah.
Mommy bought an inflatable bathtub for Sarah for the trip. This is what we call an easing-into-a-new-toy session. The previous day, Ah Ma was traumatised when she placed Sarah into the tub. Sarah wailed her lungs out. So today, we played with Sarah using her familiar toys before attempting to bath her again. She did pretty well for the rest of the days but Ah Ma never got over the trauma. Haha...
Family photo.
This was real funny. Sarah stared at the big green apples and she started to cry. When we took it away from her, she stopped. Daddy and Mommy did that a couple of times cos it was really amusing. Anyway, Sarah can teach Snow White a lesson or too...never trust a beautiful apple. So clever!
Sarah fast asleep.
Lunch at Ciserello for fish and chips.
Sarah snuggly stuffed into a baby seat.
I just couldn't resist a picture of this - Fruit of the Forest Cheesecake before it disappeared into our tummies.
Fourth Day - Thursday
Sarah and Great granduncle.
Sarah and Great grandauntie.
A lovely family photo.
The swan river is really beautiful, especially with the cold wind blowing at you. Swan river in the morning.
Swan river at sunset.
Swan River in the evening.
Fifth Day - Friday
Fifth Day - Friday
This was what I was looking forward- seeing the Indian Ocean in all its splendour.
To top it off, breakfast by the Ocean at 'Blue Duck'.
For everyone to fully enjoy the moment, Sarah was made real busy with all her toys.
The old 'foggies' walking. haha....just couldn't resist saying that.
Two grandmas and two icecream cones.
Dinner at Uncle Francis and Auntie June's House.
Sarah all decked out.
Homemade prawn noodles. Such comfort in a foreign land.
Granduncle was a master with kuehs.
Sarah made more friends with Auntie June's extended family who were also in Perth for the holiday.
Sixth Day - Saturday
Sixth Day - Saturday
Breakfast at Miss Maud's.
Sarah in her baby chair.
Church Service at the Methodist Chinese Church in Perth.
In short, it was a beautiful trip. I wish everyone around me could share the experience. My sis can rest and go shopping, BIL can cycle around, Darrell can play with baby and the older girls in Bible Study can see the world at large. I think we need to resurrect DJ Travel Pte Ltd soon. Hmmm...so interested parties, please start saving:)
